A Lesson for UK Politics: Cory Booker’s Historic Senate Speech

Senator Cory Booker has shattered records with his 25-hour speech, passionately opposing President Trump’s policies. Calling this “America’s moral moment,” Booker urged citizens to resist attacks on democracy, social welfare, and constitutional integrity. His words resonate far beyond the US, offering lessons for political discourse in the UK. What can UK politics learn? Why women’s rugby is crushing it

Let’s talk rugby. For years, men’s rugby was the golden child of the sport—big hits, packed stadiums, and die-hard fans. But recently, there’s been a shift in the game. Women’s rugby is absolutely dominating the spotlight, while the men’s game is stuck in a rut. Social media buzz? Women’s rugby owns it. Free-to-air TV deals? Women’s games are front and centre. Or I would go on the app and within five minutes, I would be fed propaganda from a certain app owner who was telling people of a certain political persuasion to go to jail, etc.  It had, in the words of Aristotle (probably), Twitter has become a cesspit of hate. So, on to a brighter and bluer sky (see what I did there)...
